How to Cancel Gemini Advanced Subscription
Where the cancel button actually lives, what happens to your data, and how to avoid a final charge.

There is no cancel option inside Gemini. Cancellation happens in Google One, because that is where the subscription lives.
Steps
- Go to one.google.com and sign in with the account that pays for the plan.
- Open Settings, then Manage your membership.
- Choose Cancel membership and confirm.
- Check your email for the cancellation confirmation. Without that email, the cancellation did not complete.
What happens next
You keep Advanced features until the end of the billing period you already paid for. After that the account falls back to the free Gemini tier. Conversation history is not deleted by cancelling.
Cancelling on mobile
If you subscribed through the App Store, Google cannot cancel it for you — you must cancel in the iOS Subscriptions screen. Subscriptions started through the Play Store are cancelled in Play Store, Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling in the wrong place is the usual reason a "cancelled" subscription renews.
If you still get charged
A charge after a confirmed cancellation is refundable. Raise it through Google One support with the confirmation email attached. See Gemini charged me twice for the refund process.
